The Crew

USS Frank E Evans (DD 754) served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. She was decommissioned and recommissioned twice. The ship was made of metal riveted and welded over a skeletal frame. Hundreds of ships like Evans were built in the early 1940s, by the site they looked alike but each was different in its own way. Evans was our home, a workplace and transportation to fight in three wars. 4,259 names are recorded as those who served onboard Evans. Some a few days, months and years. All experienced life onboard ship in a different way, the good, the bad and the ugly.
