Chaplain’s Corner 3Q

Third Quarter

As I enter my tenth consecutive year as VFW Chaplain this message is also for the USS Frank E. Evans Association. Veterans know the words “NO ONE DOES MORE FOR VETERANS.” These words are the character of America and is measured by communities and the people who work to improve them. Whether at a national level or in their own backyards, our members dedicate millions of hours each year working to spread patriotism and honor our nation’s heroes.

For decades, we’ve understood that the youth of today will be the leaders of tomorrow. That’s why the VFW remains dedicated to establishing programs designed for young people and educators – offering everything from college scholarships to classroom resources for teachers.

As the nation’s largest organization of combat veterans, we’re dedicated to providing our troops and their families with the support they need during all phases of deployment. Our members understand first-hand the burdens of deployment, and that’s why we have troop support programs ready to assist.

Since 1899, we’ve fought to preserve the values that make America great because we know how important community service is to America. With volunteerism benefiting education, the environment, health sciences and civic projects, join by getting involved in your community and honoring America’s veterans.

In summation, it has given me great joy to text the Daily Bible Verse and prayer to Veterans, community, and family. It’s in those entity’s that I became a servant to many and my life has spread in loving friendship to so many. I thank the Lord, my God for all of you.
